Bharatnatyam:
Bharatnatyam is a dance from South India
and is believed to be "The Dance of the Gods". I started learning Bharatnatyam
at the age of 7 and I learnt in for 3 years.During this period I got a chance to
give performances in elementary school and later in my high school and college as well.
Recently, I performed at the Asian Expo which was held at RIT's Clark Gym on April 20th.

Dandiya: Dandiya or "Raas" as it is populary known, is a dance from Gujarat, West India. The dance is performed with sticks. I learnt it for one of my high school events, but I really learnt it here in Rochester when I went for the various multicultural programs here.
Kathak:
Kathak is a dance from North India. I gained experience
in Kathak in my high school when we had to put up a show for our school's "Founder's Day".
River Dance:
River dance or Tap Dance is believed to
have its origins in Ireland. I started learning how to Tap at the Delhi School of Music
when I was in 11th grade. I learnt it for 1 and a half years and had to abandon my Tap classes
because I had to come to the USA for my education.
